Muktinath Helicopter Tours - Muktinath is a holy sit of Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrimage. Every Year, Pilgrims from different places including India come in the thousands to visit and pay homage to Lord Vishnu. The serenity and stillness of the place soothes your mind and beckons you into a spiritualistic journey.

 

Muktinath is a sacred place both for Hindus and Buddhists located in Muktinath Valley at an altitude of 3,710 meters at the foot of the Thorong La pass, Mustang district, Nepal. The Hindus call the sacred place Mukti Kshetra, which literally means the "place of salvation". Mainly the temple is with a predominant Sri Vaishnava origin and worshipped by Buddhists. This temple is considered to be the 105th among the available 108 Divya Desam. The ancient name of this place, before Buddhist origin is known as Thiru Saligramam. This houses the Saligrama sila considered to be the naturally available form of Sriman Narayana - the Hindu God HEAD. It is also one of the 51 Sakthi peetams.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to Luxury hotel (1300m)

    Meeting at airport upon arrival by Adventure Connexion representative. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and the Kathmandu Valley is the political and cultural heart of the Kingdom. The urban sprawl that makes up modern Kathmandu is in fact two cities, Patan and Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 02 Full Day Kathmandu and Patan Cultural Tour (1300m)

    Early morning at around 5am, you will be taken a Mount Everest scenic flights for 45min. You will see the major Mountains of Himalayas. Then we will back to hotel, after taking the breakfast, we will for a visit the Hindu culture in Nepal, Pashupatinath. This is the place where holy saddhus pray and cremations on the Bagmati River are carried out. We then continue to the holiest shrine for the Buddhist culture in Nepal, Bouddhanath, with its large stupa, this is the place where all devout Buddhists come for a pilgrimage. After completion of these two spots, you will be taken for sightseeing to City Durbar Square. This square is famous for old palaces, temples, Kumari Ghar and so on. Now we move on to Syambhunath, famous world heritage sight with magnificent views of the Kathmandu valley and tribute to Buddhism.

  • Day 03 3 Hrs Scenic Helicopter Ride Kathmandu to Muktinath (3750m) and Back to Kathmandu.

    After Early Breakfast, transfer to Airport, fly to Muktinath by Helicopter. Arrival at Ranipauwa walks to Muktinath temple 40 Min. It takes 10 min if you go by motor bike (2 wheeler) to the main entrance of temple, arrive in temple, have holy bath on 108 waterspouts & 2 Kunda, Have darshan and worship to Muktinath god walk to Jwalamai Temple and walk back to Ranipauwa, fly back to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, free time for rest, overnight.  It is believed that all miseries / sorrows are relieved once you visit this temple (Mukti=Nirvana, Nath=God). The main shrine is a pagoda shaped temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Set into the wall around it is 108 waterspouts from which pour holy water. For Hindus, beside the natural fire representing Brahma and the holy waters, the central meaning of the Muktinath area is the veneration of the god Vishnu in the form of ammonites (shilas) called Salagrama-Shilas. There are many stories which tell of Vishnu turning into stone and all of them are closely connected to the holy Kali Gandaki Rive

  • Day 04 Bhaktapur Historical City Cultural Tour and Drive Back to Kathmandu

    Early morning Bhaktapur City is just a 14 km east of Kathmandu. Bhaktapur means the city of devotees and is a center of potter and intriguing masks. The major sight seeing places are, Durbar Square, of 55 windows, Nyatapola, Bhairavnath Temple, Dattatreya Temple,  etc.

  • Day 05 Final Departure Home Country

    You are saying good bye to the mountains as your holiday tour of Nepal comes to an end today! We hope you enjoyed the helicopter rides to Muktinath with us, and we are sure you will be back for a trip to Himalaya again. Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Adventure Connexion will transfer you to the airport.
